Welcome to another week of #WeeklyWonders, a snap-sharing-blog-linky series celebrating the wonders of life.
It’s been one heck of a busy week with it having being the final few days before the summer holidays arrived. My son spent the week helping out at a local business as part of his sixth form work experience, whilst my daughter has had her grade two flute exam and a six-mile walk in scorching sun to endure… Thankfully, schools now ‘out for summer’ and they can both relax and enjoy some much-needed time off.
Despite it being the weekend, this morning was an early rise to fit in various appointments and tasks prior to our upcoming holiday. We started the day at the local tattoo studio, where my daughter had her second piercings carried out. Somehow, in the midst of all the piercing palava, I found myself gritting my teeth and braving an industrial piercing – something I’ve wanted since I was almost eighteen years old but somehow avoided up until now. To say it’s painful is an understatement, still it looks pretty good and I’m now praying to the piercing gods that it heals… just another six to nine months to go!

We then drove into town to visit the nail salon so that my darling daughter could have acrylic nails put on for the summer holidays. As always, she went for a gothy, black vibe- I love her style! Town was heaving as it also happened to be the annual motor show. It was great to see all the different cars and soak up the atmosphere before dashing back for some lunch, saline spray, and paracetamol.
Thanks for reading my #WeeklyWonders post. I look forward to catching up and commenting on your #WeeklyWonders snaps.
