#WeeklyWonders – Is It Cake? 14/52 (2026)

My incredibly handsome husband celebrated his birthday this week. I did my best to spoil him with cards and gifts but I simply didn’t have the time to bake and decorate a cake as I usually would. As luck would have it, the kids are currently enjoying their Easter holidays and so I very kindly asked if they’d mind throwing together something sweet and sponge-like for their darling Dad.

I later arrived home to this chocolate delight, and chocolate on almost every surface around the kitchen but I digress… It was well worth the ‘clean up’ as I’ve got to hand it the kids – smarties really do have the answers!
