Welcome to another week of #WeeklyWonders, a snap-sharing-blog-linky series celebrating the wonders of life.
It’s been on heck of a hot week and in the words of Peter Kay, “I like it warm but not this warm…” . I wouldn’t mind if I could spend the heatwave lazing in shorts, t-shirts, and flip flops but sadly I’ve been stuck in an office spraying myself with water in the hopes of keeping cool. The UK quite simply isn’t built for a heatwave, we lack air-con and to say it’s uncomfortable is an understatement.
Still, it was nice to stick on some shorts, kick back with my Kindle, and laze in the shade of a tree whilst I was ‘off duty’. Here’s hoping the temperatures drop as I’m just not a ‘hot weather girl’.

What a beautiful photo. It really has been very hot. I’m not usually one to feel uncomfortable in the heat, but I definitely felt it for a few days.
I’m so glad you at least had an opportunity to laze around with your Kindle. We had a horrible heatwave here last week too. Thankfully finally today the daytime high dropped below 25°C. I like it warm but not hot, truthfully.
