#TheLittleThings – March 2026

I’ve not had a huge amount of time to myself of late thus haven’t read quite as much as I would have liked. I did however complete reading the third book in Rachel Reid’s viral ‘Heated Rivalry’ series, ‘Tough Guy’, and I’m now half way through Navessa Allen’s ‘Caught Up’. Whilst I was enjoying the whole hockey romance thing, after reading three of Rachel Reid’s books in a row, I decided that I needed a break and so switched to a different series and an entirely different trope.

Watched

#TheLittleThings – March 2026

There’s nothing like getting cosy on the couch and kicking back whilst watching the box. We’ve most recently been watching the second series of ‘The Last One Laughing‘- it’s honestly one of the most hilarous programs I’ve ever seen. We’ve also continued watching Gogglebox and I’ve been enjoying catching up with the third series of ‘And Just Like That’.

Heard

#TheLittleThings – March 2026

With less than a fortnight to go until we see Tori Amos play live in Manchester, I’ve been listening to the latest tracks from her upcoming album ‘Times of Dragons’. Tori’s voice may have aged but the fire within her lyrics is still burning bright.  2026 must be the magic year when it comes to music as my husband and I have booked for us all to see Korn in October – Halloween is certainly ‘gonna rock’. Having got the tickets, the t-shirts, and the tour dates we most wanted, we’ve also been listening to plenty of Korn to celebrate our success.

Made

#TheLittleThings – March 2026

Other than making my bed each morning, I’ve not had the time to make much of anything else this month. I have, however, made a few impulse purchases which include replacement artificial grass for the marshland that is our garden, a brand new fifteen inch MacBook Air, and iPad because I obviously hadn’t spent enough… I’m now feeling like a bit of a spoilt princess.

Wore

#TheLittleThings – March 2026

With the weather being slightly bi-polar of late, I’m spending most days layering up and down for all weathers. It’s not quite warm enough, nor dry enough, to risk going out without a coat as of yet but I’ve started switching my winter woolens to lighter layers. I’m not sure whether it’s the menopause, or a genetic condition that’s caused my current fashion statement. Either way, I’ve had to put my wonderful winter slipper boots into a basket for safe keeping in favour of orthapedic slippers as I’m currently struggling with plantar fasciitis. Who knew that fashion in your forties would have to be health orientated! At least I’ve kept it ‘seasonal’ with my pretty, pink, polka-dot, easter-themed nails.

My Top Three Moments From The Month Gone By

  1. Though I tend to shy away from discussing my children online these days, I was incredibly proud of them both as they each received outstanding reports from school and college this month. It was most definitely a proud Mum moment!
  2. Whilst I’m meant to stay well away from red meats (thanks to the delight of diverticulitis), we enjoyed a fabulous family meal out to the local steakhouse. I’ve got to say, the rump steak was so good it was possibly worth the resulting pain that I endured following consuming it.
  3. Although I was already an ‘Apple Girly’, I’d never had an iPad before now. It was a real treat and I’m hopelessly hooked!

Thanks for reading my #TheLittleThings post. I look forward to catching up and reading through your #TheLittleThings posts
