Welcome to another month of #TheLittleThings , a ‘positive linky’ celebrating some of the little things from life. It’s surprising that often, the little things tend to make the biggest differences…
Read

Whilst I usually tend to burn through two or three books a month, I seem to have slowed down of late. I was hoping to top my target of ‘thirty reads’ this year but I’ve made a conscious decision that numbers simply shouldn’t matter and therefore I will read at a pace which suits my lifestyle. This month I’ve been reading Elsie Silver’s latest book ‘Fever Dream’. It’s been an absolute pleasure to be ‘back on the ranch’ and to make a return to cowboy romance…
Watched

We’ve spent the past month blitzing through the latest series of Clarkson’s Farm, followed by each and every one of the Toy Story films in anticipation for the latest release. I’ve also binge-watched Prime’s ‘Off Campus’ and have now added these books to my ‘TBR’ list for when I find the time.
Heard

Having spent an evening listening to my darling daughter play the flute and perform as part of an orchestra, I got talking to a couple of musicians and somehow found myself committing to completing grade eight piano. This is something that I’ve been meaning to do since my early twenties but with having kids and living life, I just haven’t found the time. One week later and I’ve now got the books, the playlists (which I’ve been listening to none-stop), and achey wrists as I’ve made a dedicated start to learning the pieces.
Made

Paul and I really left it till last minute this year but we’ve finally made a booking. We had toyed with all kinds of locations and ideas including Efteling, Paris, and London. Due to the ever-rising fuel costs and travel prices, we decided to keep things simple and stick to what we know and love – sunny Spain, or to be more specific, Salou.
Wore

With the recent heatwave, I’ve spent the past few weeks living in shorts, t-shirts, dresses, and even a bikini from time to time!
Though I’ve ditched the ‘fat jabs’ and no longer rely on Mounjaro, I’ve somehow managed to drop over a stone in weight over the past few weeks. For whatever reason my appetite has plummeted and as a result, I am now ‘beach ready’.
My Top Three Moments From The Month Gone By

June has been one heck of a hectic month; we’ve had so much to get through, so much to get done, and somehow we’ve managed to juggle the load between us as a family. Here are a few of the best bits:
- We finally replaced our worn. torn, leather sofas for a stunning chord grey lounger set.
- Both J and E have had their reports and parents evenings and they have knocked it out of the park. We couldn’t be prouder parents.
- After just over two years, E finally had her braces removed and she is now free to chow down on whatever she fancies – it’s so good to see her enjoying her food, playing her flute with more ease, and being generally more comfortable.
Thanks for reading my #TheLittleThings post. I look forward to catching up and reading through your #TheLittleThings posts
