Having recently purchased an iPad, I’ve been delving into the joys of my Kindle Unlimited membership via the app and it’s many free magazines. I love looking through DIY and decor ideas so have found great pleasure in perusing the latest editions of ‘Ideal Home‘ and ‘HouseBeautiful‘. I love having magazines at the touch of my Apple pen – it’s great!
Watched
After years of fathing around with Firesticks and various gadgets, gizmos, and apps to watch television, we’ve finally returned to Sky. It feels like such a luxury being able to channel hop and I certainly don’t miss having to go in and out of apps to search for something to watch. Alongside my daily dose of soaps from Home & Away and Eastenders, I’ve finally completed watching the final season of ‘And Just Like That‘ and whilst it wasn’t the ending that I had hoped for it, it was an easy and enjoyable watch. My son and I have also been watching ‘The Wrong Man’s on BBC’ for some light comedy each evening.
Heard
Having been a life-long fan of Tori Amos, I’ve been incredibly lucky to have seen her play live twenty or so times throughout my lifetime. This time however, it wasn’t just my husband and I attending the Manchester Apollo to see Tori tinkle the ivories, our two teenage-treasures also came along. It was an incredible evening and I’ve continued to listen to and watch the videos of this particular performance many times since.

My husband and I have been intending to replace our leather sofa and chair for almost four years now. This weekend we took the plunge and purchased this brand new lounger, cosy chair, and foot poof for our living room. It was an incredibly expensive purchase to make but I’m sure it’ll be well worth it!
Wore
In celebration of the latest album release from Tori Amos. I had my nails painted in ‘dragon blues and glittery greens’ prior to watching her play live in Manchester. I’m loving these cool blues and greens – it’s certainly a change from the pretty pinks that I usually wear.
My Top Three Moments From The Month Gone By
April seems to have been the month for celebrations and family get togethers.
- Paul celebrated his birthday at the start of the month with cards, presents, cake, take-away and a relaxing afternoon watching movies with family followed by a few days off and sunshine galore.
- Although the kids are that much older these days, we decided to continue tradition and to setup an Easter egg hunt around the house for them both. They loved it and were once again, spoilt rotten by the Easter Bunny. We then enjoyed a stroll along the shore with the dogs and an evening out with family at the local steak house to celebrate Easter and my in-laws fiftieth wedding anniversary.
- Paul and I finally switched the furniture in our study around ready for decorating the room. We’ve also received our new grass for the garden which we are hoping to put down over the bank holiday weekend. We’re all geared up for further DIY and decorating and I for one can’t wait!
